    Thumbs down My Fridge Died

My Side by Side Refrigerator died today.
We saved some of the food but propably half was to bad gone before we realized it.
We think we have another one given to us as a buddy my fiance works with has one and he's moving.
We do have a couple of older fridges so we are ok.

Yes I'm out of my mind. It's a dark and scary place in there.

    Holly,
Sorry your fridge died. Good thing you have back ups. That will save you a lot so you take your time to save up for a new one, if so wish.

It's annoying when things stop working. It's great that you have backups. I hate losing food. I was draining a can of beans last night, and spilled 3/4 of the can out in my sink. I couldn't believe it.

Sorry for the Murphy visit. It is wonderful you had a back up, though.

That truly bites! Thank goodness you aren't going to have any cash out of hand right now. I hope you did not lose a terrible amount of food.

Sorry you didn't catch it in time to save all your food. Ours died a couple of weeks ago so I can totally relate. What timing tho to hopefully get a free one from the guy who's moving.

What is it with these fridges/freezers all conking out at the same time? My mom's freezer died, she lost all but a couple pkgs of hot dogs (I don't know why she didn't save the meat for her dogs). Then on Monday, we thought our fridge died, turned out someone just left the freezer cracked open (*cough - dh - cough*).

Holli, I'm sorry your fridge died! I hope your friend is able to get one to you quickly! The chicken for your bbq wasn't lost was it?

No Thank God the chicken for the BBQ is in the big freezer out back.
We had put alot in the side by side to put the chicken in back freezer.
I did just list on freecycle that I need a freezer.
I know I'm going to have the happiest pig in the country this morning
( all the veggies and soups I lost are going to be breakfast for her.)
