Fresh meat
Hey all, I am Naderbug's boyfriend. She talks about this site constantly and I figured I would join up since I like to be frugal, at times anyways. She is rubbing off on me.
A little about myself: I have been a professional poker player for a year and a half, and I am currently switching career paths due to lost interest and a negative environment. Now I am looking to start working in a restaurant, and most likely going to be starting a culinary course next year to obtain my chefs papers. Cooking is a great passion of mine and I am told I am very good at it. Naderbug and alot of family members agree that I should work at becoming a chef and I agree. I am completely self taught at cooking so it comes pretty naturally.
I enjoy grocery stores more than is normal and probably healthy. I plan on doing alot of shopping at the local farmers market as well. You can proabably expect some recipes for cheap but yummy dishes from me. Though the recipes might be rather vague with measurements and what not since I never actually cook from a recipe myself, and I don't measure anything
.
So there you go.

Welcome to the Village fellow food enthusiast. I've been thinking about getting my chef's ticket too (prob in the new year). Although I find grocery stores fun.... I like to go to china town, little india, little italy and japan town for the most of my shopping.... you can always find something that you've never tried before.... and cheaper! I look forward to the recipes!

Welcome! I'd be glad to get some new cooking ideas. It's just as well you don't make 'formal' recipes with measurements - because I never follow recipes exactly.
