Thumbs up Doin' the happy rain dance!

In the past 2 days we've gotten 2 inches of rain at our house

We've been in the worst drought for ages and ages, thank goodness it seems to be broken (Woo HOOOOOO). Anyone else get rain that really needed it?

~48 yr. old sahw, livin' it up in our empty nest, smack dab in the middle of everywhere.~

We got some rain most of the day today. Sadly, we need it to rain like that for about 3 or 4 days in a row.

We got about 2 days of piddling/misting. We could use a couple days of good hard pouring, our well is getting low and it's looking like it'll be about 27*-30* for the next several days!

Glad you finally got some rain Lisa. I've been trying to send some of our rain your way but it boomerangs back to us. Here's our rain totals since April 1st.~ April 5.95" May 6.24" June 9.55" July 4.91" and so far August 4.03" it's been nutso.

Send some my way tooo We got a little bit Sat but not enough to really count, the hay is coming in pretty well for the 3rd cutting but a little rain would really help it and we don't show any at all for at least a week here.

Our next chance for rain is over the weekend, but even then it's only a 30% chance at this point. We had over 10 inches in July, but not much since then.

We have been getting just enough to keep the dust down everyday, but not enough to really make a dent in our rain shortages. The large pond on our property has completely dried up, and the other pond is super low. On the news last week, they were saying that this is the worst drought here in Georgia in years, and our Vidalia onion, peanut, peach and pecan crops are really suffering, which means higher market prices for the consumer. The high gas prices hasn't helped much either.

We were soooo far below normal on the annual rainfall. I mean we'd had like 2 inches all year long. It was just awful. All the old trees in our area (and there aren't many I'll tell ya) were dying from the drought.

We've had a lot of rain too the last couple of days. We need it so much I don't want to complain about it, but the front that moved through last night has wreaked havoc with my sinus. Yikes.
