Default blessed with formula today :)

Ok, so, baby formula may seem like a weird blessing, but let me tell you, I just about cried!

Two weeks ago our refridgerator died, again. It's been repaired numerous times and this time we had to replace it. The new one is arriving tommorow.

Around the same time, we started having trouble with the power on our computer. Basically, we need to replace it, too- we're trying to hold out on that for a while.

Two days ago, the transmission on my SUV went out. We'll have to have that repaired this week, and it will be expensive- DH was guessing at least $1,000+.

All of this is on top of the fact that I've been on unpaid maternity leave for the last month.

Then today, during DS's check-up, our pediatrician asks me out of the blue if I'd want to try a different brand of formula because she has some extra. (DS is on special "preemie" formula.) Sure, I said, thinking she was going to hand me a packet or two of single-serving powder. She left the room and came back in.... with TEN full canisters of formula!!! That's roughly $170 worth, maybe more- I'd have to check prices on this brand in the store.

I'd be thrilled to death with this any time, but right now, when money is so tight.... well, I just can't help but think that God was watching out for us today!

Amy, I am so sorry about all of the Murphy's hitting at your house, maybe with the unexpected blessing of getting that well needed formula things are going to begin to change for the better. Sending hugs your way!!!

Sorry for the Murphy visits, but getting all that formula was really a blessing. My best friend just had a baby, and the formula is so expensive. Also sending you hugs!

OH MY! What a kick a$$ doctor you have!!! Thats excellent! Congrats!

I know when I go to the doctors with a cold that wont go away - he will LOAD ME UP on samples of the one cold pill that does work for me. Reap it while you can and enjoy!

As for Murphy I thought we were banishing him to the isles of miserable inlaws? How'd he escape?
