Click "my account", then click "new entry" and type just like you would here on the forums. Once done writing, you click "add new entry". You'll see a link that says "view blog" Basically it's like the forums but with different words to "post" than the forums AND you have your blog interface and an admin interface because you own your blog.

There's a little editor that's the same as here on the forums as far as font size, color, smilies, adding a picture, or link goes.

There's a pm box, a way to add friends, a way to add categories to organize your entries, etc. If you want to know how to do those things, just let me know.

You can also change your template anytime.
