One more garage sale question

When you're garage sale shopping do you take a certain amount of money to spend on that day and no more or do you go loaded for bear? I try to limit myself to a reasonable amount but have to admit to having a stash hidden in my purse for those unbelievable finds that you can't pass up (like say an antique armoire for $75). I have laid awake nights and cried over the once in a lifetime piece that I didn't buy b/c I didn't have the cash on me at the time....(ok, not actually cried just hated that I didn't get it---kwim?).

I only take a limited amount, if you find something that you just REALLY REALLY have to have and don't have the money ask them if they'll hold it with a deposit, we've done this in the past.

No, I usually take all my spending money although I rarely spend much at garage sales. I like to be prepared .

I usually take a fair amount of cash with me. I can be pretty picky when buying things, so I usually do pretty well.
