...on how to french braid hair. I would love to learn how to french braid Julia's hair in one french braid down the back of her head and then how to do a french braid on either side. I can't even french braid my own hair...it never works.

So, anyone? I'd appreciate any help I can get, and I don't mind if multiple people post it different ways, because maybe I'll understand one way of explaining it over the other.

Thanks!

For what it's worth-- I can't braid my own hair either, but can braid my dd's just fine.

Basically you just add a strand of hair from each side before you cross that side over the middle. So, as you are braiding, if you are about to cross over the outside right, add a small section of hair from the right side of the head to the strand you are about to cross over, and cross it over, then do the same with the left all the way down the head.. Towards the bottom it gets tricky cause you want to make it tighter so it stays in. Not sure if any of that made any sense, but I thought I'd try. I learned on my cabbage patch doll one night when I was about 10 and couldn't sleep. As I was lying there I figured out how to do it and then practiced on my doll.
Good Luck, Nothing is sweeter then a little girl in braids.
