    Just saw this on Fox News. Said it was a run in with a Stingray!

    How awful. I loved watching him.

    The phrase "you mess with the bull, you get the horns" comes to mind. I suppose he would have wanted to go doing something he loved.

    I was just watching msnbc news and they said the stingray's stinger came up and actually pierced his heart. They have only had 3 deaths of this type on record. The expert they talked to said it put a hole in his heart.
    What a shock. I would've expected to hear he died from being malled by a croc or something like that, not by a stingray. It's so sad for his wife, kids and his dad.

    This is so sad. I loved Steve, he had such a passion for life and all things living. My heart goes out to his family, especially his little ones.
