G'day from a young Aussie Frugalster!
Hi everybody!!! *waves madly*
How did you hear about frugal village?I was surfing the net, looking through frugal and voluntary simplicity sites and it just jumped out at me with a, "Boo! Look at meee! Register and post and learn!!" How could I ignore a talking website? I came post-haste and Ta Daaa! Here I am.
What interests you here? Everything!!
Do you know any other members here? Not yet.
How many kids? Ages? None at all.
Tell us about yourself.Well, I'm 18 and I live with my younger sister and my best friend Gary. I'm a vegan, so I don't have to buy any expensive meat (yay for that!) and I'm a frugal, self sufficient, old fashioned do-it-yourself girl at heart. I'm trying to implement those ideas in a resistant household, so it's tough. I like the idea that here I will find some like-minded people who don't think I'm nuts for saving the water I cook vegetables in.
Do you own any pets? I have two kittens and a rat, and another 2 cats live here (one is Gary's, and one is my sister's). All are rescues.
SAHM or Working mom? Neither! I'm not a mother, but I work part-time. 2-3 days a week looking after someone else's kids while they are at work.
Married or single?I'm in a long distance relationship... actually I'm going to meet my sweetie for the first time in a week's time! (I'm a little excited...)
Interests and hobbies?I love reading, but never seem to find the time anymore. I like making things, and recently started a patchwork quilt despite no previous exerience. Hey, I've to get the experience somewhere, right? I spend entirely too much time on the internet, and not nearly enough time outside growing my own food - but one day I'll get the balance right.
I'm going to spend the next few days floating blissfully through all the information on this site. You guys are awesome!

Hi everyone! Thanks for the great welcome... this place has a very friendly atmosphere. I dig it. I dig it a lot.
Backtoreality, we met on a messageboard just like this, except it was vegetarian-themed. We exchanged PMs through the site for a little while, thinking it a bit of a laugh, talked on MSN, and now almost 3 years later we talk on the phone most weeks and he's coming to visit!
How did you meet your hubby, if you don't mind me asking?
