    I know!!! I want him to call!
    I know he has to call by today because he said he would be out of town Friday through Monday. So even if he doesn't call, I won't be able to get a hold of him until Tuesday.

    Dh says I should call him if I haven't heard by like 5pm.

    I would call. I have always done that. Just politely ask if they have filled the position or something like that. But also lets them know you truly are interested..
