dumb question about bedding
*edit I couldn't post links to give you an idea, but they were both at overstock* I had bought a sheet set and quilt set which is a bit of a splurge right now
although I'm sure it'll have me crunched anyway for this month
but I figured since you sleep in a bed everyday, it's worth it.
So my question is, I had bought them both in KING sized bedding and was wondering if it really mattered is if it was over a QUEEN size bed? Like I seriously have no clue how to even make a bed PROPERLY in some special order. I find myself amazed when I'm at hotels and the bedsheets have not fallen off the side, bottom of the bed by morning time... Plus I figured why not just get king if it's same price and has extra inches on it lol So does it really matter if you get oversized sheets for a bed?

Well, it can matter. King size fitted sheets are not the same as queen and they will end up not fitting your mattress proprly, but a quilt will not matter. Like you said, it's extra inches. On the other hand, you might be able to pin the bottom sheet to the mattress to keep it from falling off. I personally like my fitted bottom sheet to fit my mattress for comfort.
Hope this helps you.

Painted ,
I don't think any of our sheets are the right size for the beds.
Well maybe Kennys rest of them are irregulars that I pick up on sale
I just tuck them down in alot extra....(It works but can get bunchy)

The fitted sheet will bunch up. There are little elastic cords that you can buy and put on your sheet corner to corner under the sheet but, they don't work all that well. If it really gets to the point where you can't stand it just go out and buy a fitted sheet to coordinate with the rest of your set. I have done this on purpose because it seems to me the size of comforters are getting smaller and I like them over sized. So if I bought a good deal to start with, the cost of a fitted sheet in the right size is ok by me. I also have 4 pillows on my bed so I use the extra sheet to make extra pillow cases and/or throw pillows.

I agree, the fitted sheet might not work well. If you sew at all, you might be able to make it fit more snugly by putting a bit of elastic around the corners. We sometimes buy the King size flat sheets and quilts for our bed, because both DH and I are blanket hogs, so this gives us each more blanket to snuggle up in
