    Default a kind gesture....

My in-laws had just gone through a nightmare when they were selling their house and buying a new one... long story but it was a very stressful few weeks for them. The day they closed (finally) on their new house, they went to a restaurant near their new place for breakfast. The server brought their check over and a man came over and took the check off their table- they assumed the server had just brought them the wrong check. After a few minutes they asked for their check again and the server said "that man in the suit paid your check". They didn't know him and they had not even spoken a word to him- the waitress said he is a regular and he just does that sometimes.

That day I paid it forward in a small way and paid the toll of the person behind me on the highway and fed an expired parking meter.

It is nice to pay it forward!

That is a heartwarming story. It is wonderful to hear about kindness.

thanks for sharing, it's nice to hear stories like that. I add more time to meters before i pull out. GIves the next person a break.
