guess I need some new pants
So I'm at work this morning, wearing my favorite pair of pants. Just a pair of kacki's that fit me really well and are comfortable. I've had them for four years now and wear them 3-4 times a week. I have been thinking - I need to get some new ones since these are fraying and looking a tiny bit worn. Well, since I'm trying to be frugal, I haven't yet.
Today at lunch I was told by a male collegue that my pants have ripped. Go to look in the mirror and yep - all the way up the back pocket - underwear in full view.
Right now they are taped together - but I think I need to get out there and buy some new ones . . .

Oh, I'm so sorry! How embarrasing! Was the guy at least tactful about it when he told you?

Yes Mandi, it's time. You sure got your money's worth out of that pair.

ok - my packing tape fix job had a blow-out - only 1.5 hours till I go home, guess I'm not leaving my chair until then.
yes, the guy was really nice about it - I think he was embarassed as me!! I'm just glad he told me instead of letting me walk around like that.

Oh my word! I understand about the favorite pants, but when they go, they go. Don't you wish your favorite pants could go on forever? I do. I am like that with jeans. I only have 2 pairs right now and that's all I wear, so, they end up lasting me about a year. I hope you find a suitable replacement that fit so well and at a bargain price.

Oh my goodness, lol, sounds like you got your moneys worth out of them! Sounds like you gave the other workers a giggle too, see, you made it a good day, lol!
Hope you can find another "favorite" pair, I know how it is and wear my out too, mine are all jeans though and when they start going they become shorts for the next year until they REALLY bite the dust!

You've definitely done your best with what you had. I had a pair of pants that started splitting at the seam, so I stitched them back up. After the second time they split again I decided it was time for a new pair. Right now I have a pair that is getting down to its last leg. Hope you find some more that you really love.

~Try looking on Ebay for the brand, style and size of your faves. If none are listed, post it to 'want it now'. You never know.....
And about the public display of unmentionables...at least you weren't wearing a thong, right?

OMG Mandi that sucks! I have had to staple a skirt together at work before. It ripped all the way up to my undies, so I know how you feel!
Girl you were probably doing ballerina moves when you ripped them! LOL
