Nintendo Wii System..
Is anyone buying one of these systems? I personally can't wait to get it for my oldest son ( he wants it for his xmas present) along with the new Zelda game to go with it. It looks really neat and it's compatible with the older nintendo games. I know it will cost me some $$$$..but he's worth it..It's really funny to think that he was the most spoiled child and yet for the past several years he(he will be 14 in Dec) very rarely ever asks me for anything..My 2 younger ones want everything under the sun..LOL...

I haven't heard of this Nintendo system. hmmm, now you got me wanting to check it out. I am the one that plays nintendo the most here. LOL Figures. I love Zelda and have 2 different versions of it. I also love the Mario games, but have no use for many of the others. My DD has a gameboy advance and she plays it from time to time. Lots of fun!

Kathy...you can check it out at BestBuy.com. or Gamestop.com..it will give you a demo plus it will show you seens of the new zelda Twilight Princess game..this game was suppose to come out in March(originally for the gamecube)then they kept moving the date up..... my poor son was very dissapointed when they kept changing the date something like 4 different times..now it will come out on Nov 19th the same day the Wii system comes out.the Wii will cost $250.00 and the games are $49.99. The new Mario game looks really cool also...but no date for that yet that I know of...Have Fun...

Nope we won't be buying it. My kids have enough game systems and that kind of money only goes towards debt or vehicle maintenance these days.

I agree with Pam. My kids/husband have Nintendo 64, Playstation2, Playstation, Super Nintendo, Regular Nintendo and a Gamecube, and a GAZILLION games, not to mention the computer games. That's quite enough.

Yeah, Baby!
Of course we'll be getting it. My DH put down a deposit for the system and Zelda MONTHS ago, in fact, he was the first one in our town to get on the list. Can you tell he's excited? We also have alot of systems. Super Nintendo, Gameboy, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance(2 of these), Nintendo Gamecube, Gameboy DS(2 of these) and an X-Box. And a V-Smile system for our 3.5 yr old that we have to drag him from! We LOVE video games here. But I don't do the realistic violence ones. DH buys them but he can't play them while the kids are up. I play Mario adventure games, Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Phantasy Star and Harvest Moon. I just finished Pheonix Wright and started Brain Age. LOVE LOVE LOVE video games! I have clued DH into buying and selling them on Ebay so our cost per game is nearer $15-$20 and not $60. I only play my DS and the Gamecube and would LOVE for my DH to pare down his collection.Like pulling teeth! We've been socking away $5 here and there in a specially decorated box for the balance on the system. And anything I sell in November on Ebay will cover the cost. Gaming is super expensive, but we don't have cable and we don't go to the movies and our internet is only $10. Along with the library and broadcast NBC, it's our entertainment!

Hadn't heard of this game system yet. My kids DO NOT need another game system.. They already have Nintendo64, XBox, plug and play games, gameboys, and numerous computer games.. Not to mention the boys also play online once in a while.

I can't believe how much they want for these games. Last year I won a PS2 game online (I would have never bought it
). I did get the girls the Vtech smile video console which they love.
This year my dd1 will be asking Santa for a gameboy.Sue
