Default I made a big mistake yesterday

I'm not one who usually takes naps, but lately I've been feeling really tired during the day. Yesterday afternoon I was feeling really wiped out and decided to lay on the couch and try to take a 20-30 minute snooze. The next thing I know, I wake up and it's 3 hours later!!! I didn't have any problem going to sleep last night (I was out by 10 p.m.) BUT... I woke up wide awake at 4 a.m. this morning. This is going to be one long day and I know I'll be tired later, but I'm definitely not taking a nap this afternoon! LOL!

I love how young children can just fall asleep anywhere. Neat how they can listen to their bodies and just sleep when they need to.
Glad you listened to your body and were able to take that nap.

I take a nap occasionally, but never more than 1/2 hour, unless I am sick, that's another story.

I took one yesterday too. I was going for about an hour and in turned into 2.
I usually can't nap, I lay there thinking about what I need to do and start feeling quilty. No quilt yesterday...sometimes your body takes over and tells you what it needs. Your body needed a break, and glad you enjoyed it!

I usually try to take a nap in the afternoon before the first night back at work for me. It usually doesn't work for me though, I just lay down and have a million thoughts running through my mind and eventually just get up and know that I will be drinking lots of coffee during the night .

Sometimes our bodies just tell us that we need to slow down and relax a little!

I work full time so naps aren't an option during the week. My problem is I am a light sleeper so on weekends or days off if I drift off while watching TV, DH inadvertently will wake me up. And if I'm off work on a day DH is working, it NEVER fails, DH will call in the middle of my nap and wake me up. Doesn't matter what time it is, he has some kind of sixth sense there LOL.
