Having a "poor me" day
"No body likes me, every body hates me, I should go eat worms"
I am having my own little pity party, lol. I am having a rough day. I don't know how many I have told, but I am laid up on crutches. Sprained the snot out of my rt ankle on Saturday.
Sunday our border collie with the heart problem, died. His little heart gave out. We knew we wouldn't have long with him, but I was hoping for more time. There was nothing short of a doggie heart transplant that could have helped him live a longer life. My own heart is broken.
Today I woke up to hobble out over toys and all kinds of mess the kids had woken up and destroyed the house with. They know I am stuck pretty much to one spot, so they think they can get away with more.
I am at my wits end.
So, pity party for me.

You poor thing. I'm so sorry for your loss of your dog, that's really sad. I don't know how old your kids are, but maybe having a game of whoever picks up the most items in 10 minutes (or whatever time limit you deem appropriate) wins a small prize?
And hey, worms are cheaper than steak.

Missy, so sorry about your doggy. It's hard to lose a good pet.
I have been in your position with the sprained ankle and crutches. Mine happened from a motorcycle accident. Ouch! Is it swelled like a balloon?
Hope you heal quickly.

Thanks everyone. LOL about the worm references. I think I will leave the worms for the robins.
We knew Hudson's heart trouble would eventyually take him from us. We just wish we'd had more time. But his brother, Hunter, is doing great and has absolutely no health concerns at all. And we've been focusing on playing with him and Emma to ease the pain of it.
My ankle is swelled up like a balloon. Just after it happened (I turned my ankle on a loose stepping stone in my yard as I was comming down the stairs) it looked like someone had stuck a golf ball under the skin. It looked terrible. And from there it continued te swell all over instead of just in one spot, the whole foot is swollen. Everywhere you can cover with one of those ankle size socks is swollen up. There are big purple-y bluish, slightly green ish around the edges bruises all over. But it's not broken, and I can put a tiny bit pf pressure on my toes themselves without too much ow. And that makes walking with the crutches that much easier. I am not a graceful person anyhow, and on crutches I look like a complete dork. LOL.
Thanks everyone for the hugs and encouragement.~~ Missy ~~

Missy,
I know exactly how your ankle looks, believe me. Mine was every color under the sun and it looked like you could take a pin and pop it. It hurt really bad the first night, the docs said the bone was brusied too, but thankfully not broken. I know it will take a coupe of weeks, but it will be good again...
