Can't stand being a lurker
Hi everyone!
I hope this doesn't run too long for you all. I feel as if I already know most of you I've been lurking so long. I don't have the internet at home and so have to access this site either from the local library or before/after clock in / clock out at work. Since I'm currently using my work e-mail (which I would prefer not to do) I'm going to leave my name at GG. I will look into setting up a hotmail account soon. This also means though that until I do I won't be posting frequently as I just don't have the time to stay after work very frequently (and the computers are almost always jammed at the library) but here's to hoping I get the internet at home soon.
Anyway...if you followed all that here we go.
-I found out about Frugal Village surfing the web for frugal sites some time back. I've always been able to streatch a dime pretty thin but am also always on the lookout for new ways to do so.
-I don't know any other members of the village although I do live in Louisville Ky which I think I remeber seeing is also where Missymomof3 is from (Hope I got that right)
-I have two DSs. #1 is 10 and #2 is 7. I also have two dogs and one ancient cat. Oh ...and a DH of 12+ years. (He likes to spend ...in comparison to me anyway)
-I'm a working mom but would LOVE to be able to stay at home. That's not to say I don't like my job, cause I do, BUT I'd much rather be home. Right now it just seems sort of irresponsible of me to do that and put us back in financial straights just when things are starting to look up.
-I LOVE to read and travel and when I have time I like to refinish furniture and such (wood stuff). I like to cook especially baking.
-I am the oldest of 4 with two brothers (both serving in the Airforce) between me and my sister. I was raised on Long Island in a multi-generational Italian household. Though I've lived in Ky for almost 15 years now it's my heratidge I tend to cling to.
Gonna close here so I can try and hit some of the older posts I've been watching before I go.
