    Thanks for the update...I think???
I told myself I would no longer buy that prepackaged salad in a bag. So about a week ago I bought a head of iceberg, and we had salad tonight. Wow it just makes you wonder how safe any of the produce is. That reminds me of the cantelope we ate with our breakfast...I washed the outside skin with a little liquid soap and rinsed it off, so many times I have taken a watermelon and just sliced into it...without thinking about it. Oh..and the other day a lady in the produce section went and picked out 2 carrots and handed one to both of her children, and they started chomping into them like little rabbits (eww).

I have been hearing about this on the news this morning. My neighbor and I have have decided to grow our own spinach and lettuce since she got a greenhouse and can grow things till december in there. I helped her get it set up last friday. Glad I don't have to depend on the grocery store for everything.

GROW YOUR OWN VEGETABLES - its cheaper - its healthier - you have NO IDEA what goes into shop bought food, its truly scarey (I was up until last year a primary producer) - it doesn't take much time or effort and you can sit down to the family table with confidence knowing that you are providing the best you possibly can for your family and giving them an UBER HEALTHY start in life.

Rest assured that the skyrocketing cancer rate, skyrocketing Type 1 and 2 diabetes rates are NOT related to TV watching or fuel prices...they are related to the minute quantites of pesticides, herbicides and hidden sugar you consume every day in your food.

We grow our own tomatoes, peas, beans, corn, cucumbers, squash, melons, peppers, cabbage, eggplant, turnips, collards and mustard greens, but I have never grown my own lettuce. After this though, I'm gonna try it. We are also planning to build our own smokehouse as well. No telling what they use to preserve the meats you buy.

It does make owning your own greenhouse sound better and better. I am going to check into pricing a small one for us. I would love to have fresh veggies year round.
