Heelys
My son desperately wants Heelys for his birthday. I would love to surprise him with them, but they run about $60. And I'm not sure where he'd ever use them. Do any of your kids have them? I might just wait and get them for Christmas, maybe some sales will appear.

Lots of kids around here have them. They seem to wear them everywhere. A few business have sign up asking they not be used inside, but not many. We see a lot of kids with them. There may be some on sale Black Friday. That would be a great Christmas gift!!

I got an off-brand at the local thrift store today for $0.50. My son had asked for these and I just couldn't justify the cost at the time. The ones we picked up looked almost brand new. They couldn't have been worn more than a couple times.
DS just took them off to take his shower and I'm afraid he will try to put them back on and sleep in them. LOL I told him I may put them up for Christmas and he isn't taking a chance on me getting them. Now that he has worn them for a while, I will let him keep them, but I'm not telling him yet just to see if he tries to sleep in them. HeHe!
I checked Ebay when I got home and you may be able to get a deal there. Good luck, I know my DS is a very happy little boy right now.

Heelys are the shoes with little wheels in the heels of them. They snap in and out and when they are out the kids can roll around on their heels.

I'm so glad my boys are still young and aren't asking for these yet. haha. I've heard some bad injury stories about heelys though but I think thats just when the kids aren't being careful and trying tricks or something.

I have not seen thes before since my kids are all grown, but they are definately cool and fun looking. They look a lot less dangerous than the inline skates that were the rage when my kids were younger or the skateboarding tricks and stunts that my nephews love to do.

My dd has them and loves them. She uses them all the time. Much safer imo than rollerblades

Do you have a Bob's store near you? I got hers on sale and then used a 25% off coupon on them (even though it said that it couldn't be used on them)

Are they that popular? LOL
I don't think I've seen any kids wearing them around my town.
