    Default Help, help, help!!

I was burning a candle. The wax dripped more than i had anticipated for and runned over the drip cup...onto the floor which had my son's favorite teddy bear on it!! I have honestly never seen so much drippage on any candle ever. I have tried freezing the bear and picking opff the wax, scraping where it's thickly coated enough. But it's still too coated in wax to give back to him. How else can I get the wax off? My youngest is bummed right out and doesn't get why he can't play with Mr. Bear. Anyone have some advise?? I really want to get it back into my son's arms.

Put brown paper (like grocery bag) over the wax, and use the tip of a warm iron to melt the wax onto the paper.

    Missy,

Sunshine is right, this works great and I've had to do it many times. Have plenty of brown paper on hand and keep working at it and Mr. Bear will be good as new in no time.

Sunshine has the right idea but be patient it's going to take time. I had a candle overflow on a table cloth and it took about 2 hours of touching with the iron and moving the paperbags around so it would soak up the newly melted wax.

I've done the same thing with a paper towel and an iron and it worked fine - it was on a carpet, not a bear. Hope it works out for your!
