Why don't they explain
I received a letter in the mail saying that the mamo I had had some problems so they sent for the mamos from Loma Linda. and I might have to have more exrays. Oh and call your Dr if you want to find out about the test. Why even send the letter just send another apointmet card. So now I get to sit here and wait for the Dr to call me.
More then likely is is nothing.....
FernYes I'm out of my mind. It's a dark and scary place in there.

I'm sure it will be fine. My mom had the same thing happen to her. They just had to take the x-rays again, some kind of shadow, it turned out to be nothing. Try not to worry, I'm sure thats not easy. Positive thinking and good vibes your way Fern.

Sending positive vibes you're way. Try not to worry (easier said than done I know). Most of the time if they re-do the same test (re-more x-rays) it was the test, the lighting, the equipment, the technician, ect. that is the issue , not the actual patient. To help you're mind though try and scheadule the next one ASAP the cloud is a lot of times worse than the results.

Hang in there Fern. I know that's easier said than done, but like the others said, it's probably just the test itself.

{{HUGS}} I'm sure everything is fine. I'm 44 and still haven't gone for my first mamogram.... I know, know.... *hangs head* but my GYN told me since my breasts are dense not to be alarmed if I'm asked to go back and get a second one done right after the first just so they can compare, etc....

I received a letter in the mail after my mamo saying there was some spots that needed to be tested futher. I worried and worried until I got the second mamo along with an ulta sound. Turned out they were just small beneign cysts that the doctor said not to worry about as long as they weren't causing any discomfort. However, it was sort of a wake up call.
I'm sure yours will turn out to be nothing to worry about, but it pays to be sure and put your mind at ease.

Usually they compare them to the last one that you had. Where I work (Dr. office), we only call people back if there was something that showed up on the test. If they don't call, just call and ask for your results, usually a nurse will call you back that day.

Fern, try not to panic, I know I know, easier said then done. I too, had a mamo in February of this year, and it came back showing something, thing was I was having pain on the right side, and underneath my arm pit. I was scared, because I did have pain, and that is why I had a mamo. Did another mamo, and ultrasound, but everything was fine. I do have a lump and have had it for 10 years, doing mamo's for the last ten. They just said to keep an eye on it, I am sure this is what they will say to you. try not to worry too much, I know how you feel. Hugs being sent your way.
