Guess what!? I'm new!
How did you hear about frugal village? I googled and found the site.
What interests you here? Pretty much everything. I am a college student (in my fourth year) and am living in my very first apartment (yay!). I have been reading up on living frugally for some time now and I want to continue to build some good habits that will really last a life time. Though I think I am a lot younger than most of the people here, I like the support this site offers and would like to share my triumphs and failures with a community like this.
Do you know any other members here? Nope.
How many kids? Ages? As I am only 21 and unmarried, I have no kids yet.
Tell us about yourself. Like I said I am a college kid still, who is looking at graduating in either May or December of 2007. I currently work my butt off going to class about 14 hours a week, working 30 hours a week, doing an internship 48 hours a month, and doing all my homework on top of all of those things. My majors are Zoology, and International Studies, along with a minor in Germany. I spent last year living in Germany and (I saved the best thing for last) am engaged to a wonderful guy!
Do you own any pets? Nope, but I do intern at a zoo (I want to be a keeper after graduation) and so they're sort of like pets. Only a lot bigger, and many of them are way unfriendlier. And instead of cuddling with them and stuff, I clean up their feces.
SAHM or Working mom? Neither...but I do work.
Married or single? Engaged!
Interests and hobbies? I like to scrapbook, learn (imagine that), watch movies, spend time with friends/loved ones, read, and surf the internet.
That should about sum it up for me! Thanks for reading!

Welcome smart young lady! Good for you on making a frugal lifestyle a priority. By making smart money choices early you are setting yourself up for no money worries later and a lifestyle of happiness by being content & happy by enjoying the simple things in life.

Greetings Mindy! Way work at the zoo! What an intresting job even if you are the clean up committee. I've always found that those who clean up are always the most dedicated because its the least wanted job. Look forward to reading more of your posts.

to the Village! I'm a mom to a 5th year college student so I know where you're coming from in the "busy as a bee" dept. Hang in there, you'll be done before you know it.

Wow, thanks for all the replies! I have a feeling I'm going to love all the support and friendliness and community that there is to be found here.
And I can't believe so many of you replied already to me!
And yes, we're a very devoted bunch at the zoo, and I want nothing more than cleaning up animal feces for a very long time to come.
It's great getting to work with the animals, even if all I do is see them. It's especially fu when they start to recognize you.

Hi and wwelcome to the village. Have to give you props for wanting to be an animal handler, the handlers at the Buffalo Zoo are doing a great job during this weather emergency.
