    Default New from WI

    Good Morning,

I've been lurking for a couple of weeks now and thought it was time to introduce myself. I'm Carissa, mom to 1 dd and 3 ds's, wife of almost 10yrs to Dave. Right now I work pt as a Barista and dh works as an electronics lead at Staples.

We are both so tired of not having enough money at the end of the month to make ends meet that we're both looking for different jobs. We have a Walgreens opening here in November and I'm trying to get in there 30hrs as they have insurance starting at those hours. I'd like to try to work evenings and still work my part-time hours at the coffee shop so that we don't have to pay for daycare, or at least minimal daycare.

Daycare has always been the crux of me working FT. We have 2 in elementary and one in headstart, and our teen dd lives in CO with her grandma right now. So we have to consider after school care for all three boys and summer time care also.

Anyway, I'm ruthlessly going thru clothes and other things right now to sell so that we can fly dd home for christmas and possibly fly me out there for her sweet 16 birthday and surprise her.

I think you'll see me a lot in the kitchen forums as that's my biggest downfall, since I have 1 very picky eater and I'm not very good at just throwing things together. And probably in the budgeting forum also. I need help there.

Anyway, I look forward to meeting everyone and gaining lots of knowledge here.
