Default How much do you pay for a haircut?

I was paying $37 for a haircut until recently when my hairstylist decided to teach other stylists instead of cutting hair himself. So on Friday I went to a place just a couple of blocks from home and got a fantastic haircut for $22!! Not only is this place much closer ( less gas burned that way ) but there is no appointment needed either. I made sure to get a card with my new stylists hours so I can go back when she is there.

So I was wondering...how much does everyone else pay for a haircut?

Humm.... well I think I pay $15 but I haven't had my hair cut in a while so the price could have went up.

I pay $7.00 for DS (he still gets the kid price) and $10.00 for DH & DD. PLus an appropriate tip. However, 9 times out of 10 my mom takes the kids for their haircuts and she pays. I keep my hair all one length so my cuts are easy - I show DH where I want it trimmed to and he cuts mine for me - FREE!!

I don't go often, maybe once a year if my hair is long but now that it's short I may have to go more often, lol. I go with my sis to a place where it's just the owner and she's a friend of the family. We have a really nice time gabbing our brains out. I pay $25 and that includes a tip.

Well, I am a cosmetologist and I get my haircut where I work so it is free. Everything is free...color, perm, cut... I also get to do my immediate family for free. This is nice because it is the only benefits we have. We work on commission and for tips. We have no insurance, no sick days, no paid vacation. Our haircuts are $12 and that includes a shampoo. If you get shampooed, cut and styled it is $23.

When I was working outside the home I used to pay about $60 every 8-10 weeks for a haircut. Now I pay $12.95 at Super Cuts and I usually have a 1 or 2 dollar off coupon.

I pay $50. I tip the shampoo girl but not the stylist because she's the owner of the salon. I do only get my hair cut 3 or 4 times a year, though.

I pay a friend $10 to cut my hair. She only does friends, in her home, and you may get an "interesting" trim once in a while!!

I color my own. I must to "ok" my worst critics-- 3 DD's---thought I was still paying $100 once a month to get it done. Like others, when I worked full-time and I paid the price. Now that I'm not-I don't. Is that the Frugal gene?

I pay absolutely nothing. My hair is all one length(except for the bangs) I can almost sit on it. Dh trims the back and I can feather the bangs myself. I cut dh's and all the kiddos' hair. I learned how to do this from watching my own hair being cut when I used to go to the salons. With the average price of $10 for a haircut where we are at...that computes to a savings of $720 a year if everyone in our family were to go to a salon every 2 months(our hair grows fast)

I pay approx $13 with tax and tip at the First Choic Haircutters around the corner from me, plus I love it when I get that $2 off coupon in the mail every 2 months or so when I need to go! The savings I get with it goes to tip money. It all evens out in the end.
