Our turn with Murphy
I know a lot of you have had "Murphy" for a houseguest in recent days. I think it's our turn now. Our van, bought this summer, is now in the shop for what looks to be extensive repairs. It's our only vehicle so we're kind of dependent on my folks for assistance as far as running errands, meetings, etc. I'm grateful they live so close and can help us but I hate asking for them to change their schedules or whatever to bail us out.
Also our dishwasher has given up the ghost. We knew it wouldn't last forever (it was in the house when we bought it and it's really old) but for it to go the same time as the van is lousy timing. We're waiting to see how much the van repairs are before we look into buying another dishwasher.
To top everything I feel yucky with the cold that will not leave. Every day I think it will finally go away and it just...lingers. I know none of these things is that serious, or insurmountable but it just, gets you down, you know?

These things come in three's so maybe Murph will move on now!!!
I remember a time when the dishwasher, dryer and old oil furnance took a vacation at the same time. Bless my dads heart--he showed up with 2 toolboxes and made me help fix everything so I would know how next time!! I did fix the dishwasher a couple of times after that!!
Hang in there!!Robin

Hang in there it will get better. Must be something in the air because my dishwasher tore up this past weekend to . DH hasn't got around to looking at it and he really doesn't know what he is doing anyways so I don't know when I will get my dishwasher fixed. It is only a little over a yr old so maybe its nothing to serious. Keep your head up everything will work itself out. Don't feel bad about asking your parents for help either everybody needs help sometime or another.

I'm sorry
don't you just hate times like this when everything seems to go wrong. You feel like
, and feeling bad yourself only makes it worse. Maybe you can take a hot, relaxing
, get some
and things will somehow work out for you tomarrow.
Sending big
your way, and this is for Murphy.....

Sitting here with a horrible headache, unable to sleep, thinking about the tons of things that have to be done today and places to be, having my own little pity party, when this came to my mind. This was written in the front of my grandmothers bible. I thought I would share it.
When things are bad, we take comfort in the thought that they could aways be worse. And when they are, we find hope in the thought that things are so bad they have to get better.
Malcolm Forbes
I'm going to go lay down now and think about how much better It's gonna be when I get up.
