Hello from Ohio
Wow! i just found this site! I am pumped!! I am working towards being debt free (or as least as close as i can) and moving to a small homestead. Would love to be able to stay home again. I guess i should introduce myself properly....lol..I am Wylene, I have been married 6 years to my husband Chris. I have two kids, Adam who is 22 and Holly who is about to be 21. We have quite a few critters ( this is what happens when you used to work at the Humane Society..hehee) We have 5 dogs Copper (beagle) Austin(bloodhound) Ace (bordercollie mix) Hank (Basset) and Jack(Shiba Inu mix). We also have 2 cats Tucker (orange tabby) and Maxx (orange and white) a cockatiel Trudy(gray) and a guinea pig Peppermint (albino). I love to garden and we raise a good sized one. I can, dehydrate, or freeze everything i can. Love to bake and make my own bread when ever possible(by hand not machine). I am currently working outside the home as an Office Manager for an Orthodontics Office. My dream is to be off grid and self sufficient, but its been an uphill battle so far. But I am really glad i found this site and people who understand why I do what I do. Hope to meet you all soon and share some knowledge.

Welcome, Wylene! I went to college in Wooster, Ohio, so I've spent a lot of time driving through Akron, although I never stayed! I'm glad you found us at the village, and I'm hoping that you stay and dont just drive through!

Welcome to the Village Wylene! Loved reading your intro and had a smile on my face reading the names of your pets. Something about that just makes me like you right off the bat, lol. Fav was Peppermint, great name for a Guinea pig. Also think the name Hank for a basset sounds perfect.
Hope you'll make yourself at home.
