YANKEE GAL-what do you use for frosting?
I've been admiring the cookies--what do you use for frosting on your turkey cookies? It looks so smooth and perfect. I'm not a baker so I'm clueless!

Thanks all!!!
Celina-I do sell them-just to family and friends, and friends of friends...I am not licensed yet to bake from home so I just do word of mouth...which is just fine for me for now and if Halloween is any indication, I will probably be busy enough to bake every day in order to fill Christmas orders.
I hope you all have great success doing your cookies, and if I can be of any assistance, just let me know!

Thank you yankeegal, I had forgotten all about royal icing, haven't made it in years!
I'm guessing you use the paste type food coloring? You have some unique and wonderful colors there!
Good luck with your Christmas sales.~~ Dee ~~

The color selection is wonderful.

Do you have any books you can recommend? I'd love to try cookie decorating someday when I have more time. I have Creative Cookies: Delicious Decorating for Any Occasion by Toba Garrett but am looking for any other recommendations.

I love Toba Garrett as well. The only other decorating books I have are by Autumn Carpenter. You can view them here:

A friend of mine also recommends this one:

Hope this helps...
