The Weather is UGLY Here
Ok, I love storms but today we have got some really bad ones. So far in my city we have had an elementary school damaged, the FUnZone play place/Daycare Center is nothing but a pile of rubble, a barn is completely destroyed, several trees down, houses damaged, flooded streets, etc...So far there has only been two minor injuries reported. That is a good thing. All of the kids in the elementary school are ok, and all of the kids at the daycare were evacuated before the building completely collapsed. This was a huge building: had a skating rink, bumper cars, arcade etc...Two of the kids are at the er w/minor injuries and a possible broken bone. When we had Hurricane Opal hit in 1995, it was not this crazy.

They just showed the pile of mess that was once the FUnZone, it is all twisted metal and and completely destroyed. I have never seen anything like this. Cars from the parking lot on their sides, it is the most horrible thing I have ever seen. Damage reports from all over our town are coming in and it is so bad. We are liucky that on my side of town there is no major damage. I just cannot explain the way the building looks - a bulldozer could not have done more damage.

Keep you and your family safe, Neeley. I'm in Georgia and your storms are headed our way. They are letting the schools out early in hopes of the buses getting the children safely delivered. Hope everyone is in and safe!

It is pretty much over here now. I was watching CNN and they showed what was left of the FunZone on it and there was an interview with our Mayor, Bobby Bright. The storms have moved on to Georgia, so all of you that way, stay safe cause this storm is a biggie.
