Yea, I couldn't believe it. Their are stores around here with 20 or 30 people in line and the store will only have 15 to sell.
Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.

I just finished watching an EBay auction end for a PS3. It went for more then $7,000!

I think it's disgustingly greedy to stand in line for an item you only plan to resell because it's so "hot".
Our Best Buy only has 20-something PS3s, but there's already a line of about 40 people outside. It sells in 2 minutes... 8am.

I just checked EBay again. There's an auction for one ending in 1 hour. It's up to $10,100! INSANE!

I was watching this story on the news this morning and it seems all people want to do is make money off of them. It's crazy to watch these people waiting for the stores open, then when the doors do, they crush each other trying to get one. I don't think I want a gaming system that bad....LOL Oh, and one girl the news talked to had been outside the Best Buy store since Tuesday with her brother...LOL He hadn't showered since Tuesday morning...yuck!

My DH wants to go and look at one today. LOL Just to see it because he knows we can't afford one. Although he tried to tell me that because it came out today and it is also our anniversary that it means we should have one.
I do think that it is terrible though the people who are just getting it to re-sell it for twice as much.

It is sad that the people will resell it. It is also sad that people would pay that much to be the one with coolest and newest toy. Supposidly the ones that are being sold today have some type of glitch in them. So not only will you pay $600 for the system but that you may have to pay $400 for the system fix.

There have been people camped out in front of Best Buy here since last Tuesday also. We had huge wind storms with winds sustained at 50 miles per hour and gusts up to 80 miles per hour and these crazies were out in it trying to keep there tents from blowing away, needless to say not many were left standing the next morning. The television news reported on them. Most of the ones there were planning on buying 2 one for themselves and one for eBay. I hope that they will only let them purchase one a piece because there were more people in line than the store will have machines, the store will only be getting 26 and there was at least twice that many people waiting.

My biggest problem with this is....isn't it loitering or vagrancy to camp on private property??? I mean, if this was some poor homeless person with a box set up against the store for warmth, they would be arrested or asked to leave for trespassing. People are unbelievably greedy...don't they have jobs to go to??? I just don't get it....WHO CARES that much about a stupid game?
Why do the businesses allow this? I blame them....it's not like they're not going to sell them to regualar customers who come into the store anyway....

I just read that in Conn., 2 thugs tried to rob a group of people waiting in line outside a Wal-mart and when one of the people resisted, they shot him.
Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.

I think it is insane, too. My DD17 and I went to Walmart last night. There were about 10 people camping out in order to get the PS3. The cashier said they were only going to be getting about 6. I can see at Best Buy or somewhere like that that closes, that when they reopen, the people go trampling in. How does that work at Walmart that is open 24/7? How do they know when the PS3 gets there and that someone that just happens to be in the store already, shopping, won't get the games before the campers do? Or is the store just planning to give them to the campers? I don't understand how that will work out. Anyway, I think the whole thing is ridiculous. I would not pay $600, let alone thousands in order to have one of these. Can you imagine what the games must cost?
