Yesterday was a lulu
~I am so glad DH is coming home soon. I am physically , mentally and emotionally exausted. Lately my dd has discovered climing up onto chairs, tables and anything else high, and yesterday fell off of chairs 3 times. Luckily she was not seriously hurt. She has a curious/aggressive personality so in the course of the day she also shattered a glass all over the kitchen floor and broke off a piece on my sewing machine. Ds also thought it would be a good day to push my buttons and repeatedly disobeyed me. I got a killer migraine in the afternoon. Then around 6:30pm our power went out while ds was on the potty in the bathroom. It was pitch black. I'm glad I had some candles and a lighter out already, even though I had to go to the kitchen in the dark to get them. The power didn't go back on until 10. Oh and maybe I should mention the hoard of mice that have invaded my house and are making themselves cozy in my walls, counters and couches.Yucky yucky day.~

Sorry to hear you're having such a rough time. I don't have any experience with children other than babysitting experience (and I only ever worked with children who were eerily obediant) so I can't really offer any advice but I wanted to wish you good luck!
Just keep taking deep breaths...lol

Sorry you had such a bad day. I can relate to the kids part though, the twins were like your dd. They were into everything all the time and I remember walking into the dining room and both of them jumped towards me from the kitchen table. They jumped off of anything they could, the worst one was when they were jumping from the couch to the coffee table and Frank misjudged the distance he hit his nouth on the edge of the table and put his front teeth right through his lip.
They do get better though, the twins are still curious about everything and still try things that other kids wouldn't but it's not as bad or as often as when they were younger. And with dh coming home at least you'll get a bit of a break.

Hang in there, it will get easier...I promise. Until it does, here's a big
Maybe you should get a kitty to help with the mice.Last edited by MarshHen; 11-17-2006 at 10:55 PM.
