    Default I did it---ALREADY

Well Mon am I start my new job. The first place I went to hired me on the spot--can u believe it! I will be working at a large childcare center in town. Im still feeling a bit down about having to leave the children but I will be able to get them off to school in the am and Im off at 5pm so will be here for dinner everynight as well. Oh and the upside...... I work the same hours as the schools so I will be laid off in the summer

Thanks to all who supported me the other day when i was having a tough time with this. I will keep y'all posted. Have a good Sat. everyone.

PS any working moms out there with any tips, tricks or hints to make everything run more smoothly...

That's great! I hope you enjoy it, it'll be nice having the summer's off!

The only tip I have is to get everything ready the night before, so there isn't any rushing around in the morning!

That is wonderful. I wish I had a job where I had the summers off. You will enjoy that I am sure.
The things most important in our being organized is having everything ready the night before. We pick out what clothes we are going to wear and I can check and see if anything needs to be ironed. I go ahead and decide what we will be eating for breakfast and lay out what can be laid out. I also make out my menus so I will not have to think "What's for supper?" when I get home in the evenings. I also wash a load of laundry a day so that it does not pile up on me.
    Good luck!

Congrats on the new job. It's wonderful too that you have the same hours as the kids.

Congratulations! My biggest tip is the same as what was posted above...organize everything the night before. Our days run so much more smoothly when I've gotten everything ready in the pm.

Thats wonderful news! I find my days goes better if I do everything the night before work. I also get some snacks ready and put them in the fridge, so that DS can have a snack while he is waiting for dinner.

I also have DH help me in the morning. No matter how hard I try, I inevitably take longer than DH to get ready in the morning. So DH gets up with me, gets himself ready and DS ready, and by the time he does that, I am ready to go out the door
