That is a great article! I agree completely...respect must be earned, and although it sounds superficial, how we present ourselves does play a part in earning respect.

I really agree with most of that from experience of my own. I really feel better about myself when I get dressed and make myself 'presentable' everyday (she says as she sits here at 1 pm in her pj's I have to say that this is the exception not the rule for me).

thanks for the site. It was just what i needed. I have let my self go . so as of tomorrow I am going to get dressed. and not go back to bed when the kids go to school. It is getting to where i dont leave the house unless I have to. I am also going to go to walk to the post office tomorrow it is just up the street from me.

maybe if i stay in my pj's tomorrow the kids'll back off and let me get a little stronger (have a pretty nasty strep throat) before they chase after me to go here or there...nah, probably not. Might as well get dressed. I just plain feel better when i am dressed!

    Thanks for the article

When I get up I change out of my pj's into sweats until I am able to shower. Then I get dressed after showering which is usually within a couple of hours of getting up. I will usually wear jeans and a shirt or sweater of some sort.
I think it makes a big difference in my day!

Hahahaha that was a great article....funny thing was I was just thinking about that the other day - I started wearing lipgloss and giving my hair lil bit more attention then usual ... make myself look MORE presentable.

Ive never been the makeup wearing kinda gal but if it makes me feel better to know I look better then so be it...go with it!

Apparently Im not the only one either - a lot of others here have said they feel better once they're dressed.....its great motivation to get dressed daily and know you can GO out the door to run errands w/o having that excuse to put it off (it will take me longer to shower and get dressed just to go out blah blah blah)

Even if its sweats - at least yer outta yer jammies!

I remember how hard it was to get motivated in the mornings when the girls were still home. I did work outside of the home for the most part, so I had to get dressed, but even on the weekends I get all "gussied" up in jeans sweater and makeup. My mom always got dressed and fixed herself up so I guess it was just habit for me. I liked the article and it was very true in alot of aspects..Kathy
