Default How Many Meals Can a 19lb Turkey Do?

Well we had 9 adults and 3 little kids for Thanksgiving dinner. The next day we had leftovers(all of us). Then we had more leftovers on Sat. for lunch. Hubby and I had dinner last night and then I froze another meal for us later. Today I made turkey and dumplins. We have enough of that for at least 2 more meals, ( and one of my girls was here for lunch today too!) Good thing we love turkey and don't mind leftovers! So how did you all do?

Well, I had a 19 lb turkey and there were 2 adults & 3 children eating. We had our Thanksgiving dinner, dh made a sandwich later that night. He had a sandwich the next day as well as the kids & myself. I gave him a sandwich for lunch today. And I got about 2 cups worth in 5 bags in the freezer.

We only had a turkey breast so we had leftovers on Friday evening and then again yesterday and that was all she wrote We still have dressing...but how do you eat dressing w/o turkey? Sounds like you did good with your leftovers. I actually love t-day leftovers.

A LOT! I purchased an 18 pound bird for our Thanksgiving dinner and I still have more leftovers then I know what to do with in the fridge. Tomorrow it's Turkey and Swiss casserole. DH asked me to throw out the leftovers, but I refuse!

I cooked a 12 lb. turkey and fed 6 adults and 3 small children. Had leftovers Friday and Sat., and hubby took a full lunch of leftovers both of those days to work. Sunday I cooked country fried deer steaks, gravy, stewed tomatoes, rice, fried okra and biscuits for lunch and supper and hubby took those leftovers for lunch yesterday. Yesterday, I took the left over turkey and made two large pot pies and had one for supper last night and froze the other one. I froze the rest of the turkey carcass (bones and all) to make stock for soup later this week.

I use the dressing in sheperd's pie. I put the meat and veggies, then some dressing then the potatoes. We think it tates better that way.
