I will not have a cow, I will not have a cow!
I have had a stinky week thus far. Let's recap.
Sunday, came home to house full of smoke. Had left beans soaking in a little water on the stove. Appears to me that Hunter (border collie) stood up against the stove to see what was up there. And in doing so he must of turned on the burner because that's what we found when we got home burner on under the smoking beans. Result, no fire, Thank God. But house FULL of smoke. House stinks like burnt beans.
Monday, visit to ER. Result Sinus infection, pharangitis, and strep throat. On antibiotics.
Tuesday, had to go to DMV because I can't find my lisence anywhere. I have looked high and low. I need it because on Thursday I will be going to a military base, and they require ID. They won't just take my word for it. That's not an option, LOL. So I go. I plug the meter a little extra in case it takes longer than I expect. I get to the counter, it costs 15.60 for my replacement lisence. I have...15.58. They send me back to my car to finds two pennies. TWO PENNIES! TWO! I over-fed the meter therby over-feeding the city's coffers and they can't spot me two freaking pennies?? I take the pennies from the car back into the DMV (mind you i have my kids with me) and get the lisence stuff done. They give me...a paper licence. wont have my otherone for another week and a half or so in the mail. I have no idea if this will be acceptable to the MP's or not. hope so.

And I find out Sunday that on Saturday my uncle passed away suddenly from lung cancer. He'd just been diagnosed within the month.

Oh Missy,
So sorry you are having such a rough time of it. Don't know if this will help, but here's a big ole
Watch, now that you went through all that to replace your lost license, you will find them.
Hoping you feel better and I'm so sorry to hear about your uncle.
You may want to call the base to see if they will except the temp. license. I know how strict they are. Good luck!

Missy, I am so sorry you are having a tough time of it
(((HUGS)))
As far as the military base, you have to have a picture ID at most bases. Does the paper license have your picture on it?

Missy I am so srry that you are going through all of this. The two pennies, geez, society is just rude anymore. My goodness, the people working that wouldn't spot you a couple of pennies needed to watch the Oprah update on the gifts of kindness!!!!! that would just irritate me too. I hope by the time you read this that things will be working better for you. Hang in there girl!

A passport will work as well if you're not sure about the paper license.

the police dept might have an id program where they will take your pic verify your info and give you an ID. I did that before I had my drivers license.
