Home from the hospital

I wanted to thank all of you for your kind words of encouragement during hubby's recent hospital stay. We just got home last night. He had the upper lobe of his right lung removed due to cancer. We still don't have the final pathology report on the lympth nodes, however the doctor is optimistic that they will come back clear. We were really lucky in that it was caught early, the tumor was about the size of your thumbnail. spending eight days in the
thoratic (sp?) unit was an eyeopener. If I were a smoker that would be enough to make me never pick up another after seeing some of the patients there. Hubby has sworn that he will never pick up another after this ordeal.

Thanks again for all the well wishes , they really meant a lot to me.

I'm happy to hear that your husband did well with the surgery and that his prognosis sounds good. Let's hope that it is all behind him now!!!!! Not smoking will be good for his health and for your pocketbook!!!!

I'm so happy that your husband's surgery went well. It's wonderful that his prognosis is good. That is such a blessing. Kicking the smoking habit is going to be great for him. Wishing you both the best.

So glad that he is home and on his way to recovery. I am trying to quit smoking, I know the risks but it is so...addictive. I am going to continue trying. Thanks.

I'm glad to here that your dh came home last night, now you and him will have to work just as hard as you did in the hospital without all the staff to help you. I know that you can do it.
