Default Dont think my kids will be going to school today

Last night my 14 year old dd went to bed at 8.00 pm .Now that is very early for her she woke up cold and her head hurt. I am thinking she is getting sick .Also the 12 dd was saying her head hurt to. So I am thinking to let them stay home today. If Isend them and they not to feel good As we know i will get a call to come get them. Having no car i think I am just going to let them stay home. It never fails my 14 dd get verry sick around this time of year all the time. Not just a cold she goes all out . So i probly not even going to wake them up just let them get ther rest.

Yep, it's that time of year! My 14 yr. old dd has been sick twice within the past 1-1/2 months. She completely lost her voice the first time and had fever, cough and sore throat. Last week same thing except her ears hurt. If she has a fever, I don't dare send her to school.

I think you're making the right decision in keeping them home today. A day of rest will be a good thing. I hope they feel better fast.

Hoping they feel better soon. When dd came down with it the second time, I took her in to visit the doctor and she was developing an ear infection from fluid built up in her right ear from her first bout with this bug. Seems I let her go back to school to soon the first time. She is on antibiotics now and feeling better. Just keep an eye on them cause whatever this bug is, it doesn't let go easily. The schools are full of it here.

oh yes, its that time of year. my ds age 7 , was home for a week. he got hit hard. he had a sore throat, then he got the stomach flu, then he got a horrible horrible ear infection (the dr ended up putting him on tylenol with codeine & numbing drops for the pain). i caught the stomach flu 7 it was the worst case of the stomach flu i have ever had in my life. i had 4 accidents in my pants, while i was vomiting. i had the shivers, i was buring up, i had horrible stomach pains, horrible headaches. it was just downright HORRIBLE!!! just let your girls lay in bed & rest. after about 48 hours i was feeling better (not 100% but better) i was feeling 100% after about 4-5 days. good luck!!

Yes, its better to let them rest and get over it, or it could just make them feel worse. I was sick most of last month with a sinus infection and a cold, and I'm sure that it wouldn't have dragged out as long as it had if I had taken a week off work to just lay in bed and get better. Give your dds lots of hugs, and I hope they feel better soon!
