Hello from Sunny (but cold) Florida!
How did you hear about frugal village? I did a Google search on budgeting
What interests you here? Learning how to budget and stretch a dollar
Do you know any other members here? No (I don't think so.)
How many kids? Ages? 2 boys ages 13 and 11
Tell us about yourself. I am a 34 1/2 year old wife and mother. I married my one true love at 19 (He was 29!) and we've been married 15 years. We have 2 terrific sons (13 and 11) and we are a homeschooling family. We are Christians and very active in our church. We (ourselves personally and our church as a whole) are experiencing an "awakening" about what being a Christian means, and realize that it means serving others. It means actually getting involved in peoples' lives and helping them. Feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, healing the sick, etc. Our church is researching opening a Health and Hope clinic (free) which does just that. It will staff volunteer doctors and nurses, counselors, financial advisors, etc. We also want to open a battered women's shelter, homeless shelter, crisis pregnancy center, etc. All of these things require resources such as time and money. We want to free up our money to help fund these things. Also, when my boys are finished homeschooling (we're going all the way through high school) I would like to finish my nursing degree so I can volunteer at the free clinic
Do you own any pets? We have one cat. She's a Havana Brown, though she looks black. Her name is Boo. We call her Boo Kitty.
SAHM or Working mom? I'm a SAHM and we homeschool.
Married or single? Married for 15 years to my amazing, hunky DH.
Interests and hobbies? I am an avid reader. I'm learning how to sew. Would love to learn to quilt. I love to cook and bake. I love everything about tea. I love entertaining guests in our home and serving them homecooked meals. I love to play cards and boardgames, and I love to laugh!

Hi from Georgia!
Welcome to the Village. You like to bake? Join the Village Baking Club. We have tasty challenges each week and love to share recipes. I have two Pineapple upside-down cakes (from this weeks challenge) baking in each oven as I speak or should I say type, LOL. Just look in the Kitchen Basics Forum to join. We would love to have you!

Welcome...!
I'm new here too, and in four years (after hubby finishes seminary), I'll be the Pastor's wife... a far cry from the life I used to live. Welcome, and where in FL are you from? I grew up in St. Petersburg.
