I felt so bad for her..
I work in the play area of a store. Well this lady goes by the counter and says we will be right back, and they all headed down the hall to the bathroom. Well they all come back a few minutes later and I start filling out the paper work and she realizes she left her purse in the bathroom. I quickly hustle the kids in so she can run back to the bathroom. Here she comes about 30 seconds later and in tears. Her christmas money was gone. A woman had come out of the stall she was just in. She then went back to confront the woman, and of course she denied taking her money. Well I called for my pic on the floor and he called the store manager and they explained there was nothing they could do. No one actually saw her do it. I felt so bad for her, she lost $250 in christmas cash...luckily all her credit cards were still there. She still went shopping and used her credit card
. She had a pretty good attitude by the time she got back and said " well that's that and I hope that lady enjoys her christmas with an extra helping of guilt".
How can someone do something like that??

People are awful today!! It saddens me at how one human being can treat another. I hope the person that stole her money is overcome with guilt!

I agree, people can be soooo cruel, it's a shame too. I am glad however that the lady wasn't as resentful as I would have been.

Its heart-breaking to think that people think its ok to steal from someone else. I find more wallets and purses and always turn them in. WHy?? Becuase thats how I was raised!
I once left my purse in a restaurant on the way to the bank and in it was my $700 house payment. GONE!! I'll never forget that feeling -- and whoever it was I hope they caught hella karma!! But I pray that someone would do the same for me.Heather

I believe what goes around comes around, too. Whoever stole that money will pay one way or another.

That's so sad. It makes me sick to think there are actually people like that in the world.

One time, I unknowingly dropped my purse on the way in to a hotel (I carried a really small purse at the time) and didn't realize it until the next morning. Someone turned it in to the front desk, but all my cash, $200, and a brand new book of stamps was missing. They left my credit cards alone. So I know how it feels.
“When you get to the end of all the light you know
and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown,
faith is knowing that one of two things will happen:
you will be given something solid to stand on,
or you will be taught how to fly.” - Edward Teller
“Our Earth is degenerate in these later days;
there are signs that the world is speedily
coming to an end;
bribery and corruption are common; children no
longer obey their parents;
every man wants to write a book and the
end of the world is evidently approaching.”
— From a translation of an inscription on
an Assyrian clay tablet, circa 2800 B.C.E.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.
