weather up in Wash. & Oregon
Hey are you guys OK up there?? We were watching the game last night, I've never seen rain come down that fast!!
With the winds & rain you must be miserable.. Did it let up yet? Sounds like it stalled back there, its coming here tho, they started putting out the high wind warnings.
After watching Seattle last night, I'm going to go tie everything down again! We've had the extreme high winds here but can't imgine the rain with it!
Take care stay warm & be careful!!

It was crazy last night. Half of the town was out of power and almost every school in the western counties of Washington was closed. Even the Olympia post office wasn't open (so much for the through wind and rain and even snow we deliver lol). Lots of trees down and many roads are closed. They clocked a gust of wind in Astoria at over 135 miles an hour. We mostly saw around 70 mph gusts. My daughter still does not have power and she lives in town. 17 counties have been declared a state of emergency. In all it was a pretty strong storm, however we all weathered through it pretty well. Hopefully it will decrease in strength as it travels east. Keep us informed Colorado!

Wow that was a doosie, most people without power...lots of trees down and roads closed here also. No school for the kids either. We have a couple really tall poplar (not sure about the spelling) trees behind us and the branches were breaking of and falling like javelins and sticking out of the soggy ground. Today it snowed for a while and then we had about an inch of heavy heavy hail fall on top of that, really strange weather today. I hope everyone is o.k. and Pinetree I sure hope its not as mean when it gets to you..batten down the hachtes and stay safe.

We're fine here, after 15 hours without power (still no cable tv, but we have HEAT!). Neighbor's fence blew over. Lots of branches down. Overall our immediate neighborhood fared well.

Been watching it on the news, glad that you villagers from there are ok.
Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.

Everything is good here, my neighbor behind us had her fence blown down & part of it broke in half & the another part of it rested on my clothes line.
Our power flickered off & on a lot but we never lost it completely THIS TIME.
My nieghbor infront of us lives in a mobile home & she said it just rocked back & forth a lot.
My landlady called & they will be without power for awhile due to a power pole eing down in their area.
I'm surprised we came out unscathed by this storm. I hope everyone else is safe & gets their power back on soon.
for all those who are having a tough time right now.
