Guess what I got - too cute!
My great-aunt made stockings for me and my sister when we were little, they were hand sewn from a pattern she bought. We used them every year, even though they didn't hold everything that was in them. They also had our names on them.
Well, today I got the mail and Owen got a package - it's a stocking that looks just like mine with his name on it! My mom took a look at our stockings and decided that she could copy it without the pattern. The only difference is that Owen's doesn't have some little beads and bells that were sewn on our stockings, so my mom just embroidered that part of the design.
I just about cried when I saw it, it was so awesome! And I had to call my mom and say thank-you. What a wonderful Christmas surprize!

That's amazing! That's probably one of the best Christmas gifts your mom could have given you.

My family all has matching homemade stockings like that. The year hubby and I were engaged and I brought him home for Christmas, my mom had already made him one, which made him feel like part of the family instantly. My mom is already working on a stocking for my little guy for next year. She's anxiously awaiting a name to put on it, lol.

How wonderful. One year my Mom crocheted our stocking and to this day I still have mine. My mom passed away almost 20 years ago. This year I got for my girls really cute needlepoint stocking with their names on them. I am hoping that someday when they get older they will keep them as a treasure as I have done with mine.

That is so sweet and thoughtful! I'm sure this Christmas is extra special with it being Owen's first. Enjoy every minute!

My Grandma made us homemade stockings for Christmas. They were made out of red velvet and satin. The names were put on with ink pen, but I still have mine and always remember my Grandma when I look at it.
What a wonderful thing for your mom to do!
