We've got some mini drifts here now. Nothing to write home about. But the regular snow is level with the bottom steps on each side of the house. No mail came today. Maybe tomorrow. Hopefully the plows and chemical sand trucks can get the roads safe again. They had to shut down the interstate from Denver to new mexico. and from denver to kansas *I believe* is shut down (anyone else that knows the condition of I-70 might know for sure about that). Denver and Colorado Springs Airports are closed for incomming and outgoing flights as well. Nothing in or out till Christmas Eve!!
it's 21 degrees here (windchill is 4), we have between 1 and 9 inches depending on where you are in our yard.~~ Missy ~~

Looks like we have drifts at least 4 feet tall here in the Front Range/Foothills!! I think that ds will spend a chunk of the day tunneling through the snow, which will be useful to get from our door to our mailbox, :rofl2:

Hi Everyone - we are in the mountains near Pikes Peak and have about 18 inches - it is still snowing but the skies seem brighter than yesterday. Everyone is home for a second day so I'm content with everyone safe - Wednesday was my shopping day so we are out of milk and eggs but still have plenty of food and thankfully the electricity has not gone out. I hope we are able to get out tomorrow - the girls have Christmas parties at school and really want to go. Hope everyone keeps warm and safe!

Oh my gosh Missy, I'm trying not to freak out watching what is happening there one the news! ha! I have lived in NY and NE, until I was 9, and know what its like, but 30 years in California and it is looking a tad bit intimidating there! My sister and her family flew home from Denver on Monday, so made it just in time before they closed the airport. YIKES! Glad to hear that you are doing well inspite of it. I guess you just learn to adjust, plan ahead with shopping when you have warning, etc. Hang in there! Wishing you warm thoughts!

Hi, well we have a mess here, snow measure is about 30 in, drifts are 5-6 feet,
Our decorations outside are completely gone. We have one deer that has his antlers sticking out of the snow.
Have tunnels going everywhere. Our neighbor has a bobcat, so he's doing the street.
Everyone is home safe and we have electric, we still have snow falling but not like it was!!
I'm still out digging, am still missing 4 of my wild cats outside. The snow is so deep there's no way they can get up to where we feed them. Holding my breath that they are ok & aren't buried somewhere.
Glad to hear every one ok safe and warm.
