Hi everyone. I've been browsing the site and wanted to introduce myself before posting. I'd like to join some of your challenges they look like fun and I can sure use some motivation when it comes to money issues.

How did you hear about frugal village?
I did a search on frugality

What interests you here?
Many of the topics here interest me, but budgeting, debt reduction, health and natural living interest me most.

Do you know any other members here?
No.

How many kids? Ages?
2 children, both away at college.

Tell us about yourself.
I've been a single parent for nearly 13 years and recently became an empty nester. I just bought my first house, which I love, but am struggling with all the costs involved and finding it hard to make ends meet.

Do you own any pets?
Yes, I have a cat that I inherited when my dd went away to college. I have been considering investing in some chickens and maybe a dog now that I have a place of my own.

SAHM or Working mom?
Working, working, working!

Married or single?
Single

Interests and hobbies?
Fixing up my new home, it's almost 100 years old so needs some work, gardening, baking bread, reading. I am also very interested in environmental issues and am trying to do what I can as an individual to use less of our limited resources.
