RANTING! Just need to vent!

I don't even know where to start. Here goes! When we moved down here from PA in Aug. of 2005, we are renting a house from friends (loosely termed). They were going to move in the house in the fall of 2008, so we had that long to find somewhere. WELL, now they are moving in this coming Nov. 2007. That is all fine and good, we are looking at homes, and will have one by then. Here is the kicker - she just brought a contractor (which she just told me about last night) in to look at my dd's room, they are having a room built on!!!! WHILE they are up in New York for the summer. SO, now, I'll have all of the added mess of that. I guess my only question is Why the H)*( didn't they wait until they move in? I'm already annoyed at her because she doesn't work (they live next door, in their camper) and every night she complains about how tired she is. Now, mind you she is around 48 years old, all her kids grown and living up north, and she lives in a camper. Meanwhile, if I say I don't feel good (from radiation or chemo) she just shrugs it off, and complains about how tired she is. Maybe I'm just too sensitive, but I just had to vent this somewhere, before I told her off.

Your friend should me more understanding going through chemo. Its so hard on your physical and mentally. She doesn't seem mature enough to realize she isn't making your life any easier. You rant all you want dear!!! Toatlly acceptable!!!

Because she doesn't want to have deal with the mess of living there while construction is going on. I'm sorry you have to deal with this mess of a woman.

Right on, Amanda!!!!You said it correctly!! Bax...try to stay strong, I cannot imgaine how you must feel about the whole thing, let alone trying to stay strong to get through your treatments. She defintely isn't your friend, just an acquaintance, there's a difference. I don't even know her and I would like to knock some sense into her!!!LOL Sending you hugs!!!

RANT away......You have every right to be annoyed by her insensitivity! I always wonder about people who have to ONE UP others...... useless navel gazers....grrrrrr

That woman is no friend of yours. The construction should be done after she moves in, not while you are still there. But she just doesn't want to deal with the mess and inconvenience. With everything you are going through she should be trying to help you, not creating more stress in your life. But, as I said, she is not your friend. I am so sorry she is doing this to you.
