    Talking Vinegar Works!

~I didn't see a place for cleaning so I'm posting here. I've always heard and read that you could use white vinegar for cleaning. Last week I had to do the dreaded 'complete' toilet cleaning. I usually use hot soapy water water with a little bleach added. However I was going out that day and I didn't want to smell like bleach(I don't have gloves) so I pulled out the vinegar. I splashed it full strength onto a sponge and it wiped away rust stains, grime and black mold that was living under the tank. I'm not going back to bleach now! I'm convinced!~

I totally agree! I cleaned the master bath yesterday using nothing but baking soda & vinager. It looked clean and I didn't fall out from the fumes like I have a tendency with those toxic bathroom cleaners. PLus it was safe for the kids to be around me when I cleaned. Bonus, they enjoyed watching the foaming action in the shower.

A couple of weeks ago my toddler got into the leftover halloween make-up and painted her entire body. I got her mostly clean in the bathtub, but it left a horrible ring. I did try some of my cleaners that are still in the cabinet but nothing would clean it. Finally, out of desperation I used baking soda and elbow grease and hot water and it came right up.

I use vinegar a lot to clean with. I very much prefer it to commercial cleansers and in most cases, it works every bit as well.

I am also an avid baking soda & vinegar gal! Think of the money you are saving also! I use vin/water to clean all the glass/mirrors also.
