Do you use bar or liquid soap? Im trying to figure out which one is more cost effective. The liquid is clean and the bar usually sits in the shower and turns to mush?Just wondering

I've been using bar because it costs less, but after reading someones post about watering it down I might try that. It's funny I water down our shampoo, conditioner and dish soap but never thought to check the price of liquid after watering it down.

We use liquid, but I honestly don't know which is more cost effective. I know the bars mostly just melt away and leave a big mess on the counter, but I think they were a lot cheaper to begin with.
The liquid is also a lot easier on my hands. When I first had 2 kids in diapers I got hand eczema from washing so much. That was why I switched. I don't think I could go back now, even if it is cheaper, liquid is so much cleaner and easier.
We still have a few bars for in the shower.

liquid only here because I hate the mess that bars leave & a bottle of body wash is a cleaner

I am with the majority: we use bar in the shower and then liquid on the sink. I have started to water down the liquid at the sink to make it last longer.

I have never had the mush bars of soap. We have one of those wire hangers on the shower hose thingie and it drys nice and never mushy. That way its away from the water and is not sitting in a puddle of water and getting soft and mushy. I also don't like the liquid because it can be cold, unless you warm it up in a sponge or wash cloth. The bar I can just grab real quick and wash.

We only use liquid, not sure if it makes it more cost effective, but it leaves the sink, shower and tub areas much cleaner.
