help the computer illiterate please

I have noticed that most of you have a countdown for how much debt you have paid off, your change jar challenges etc. So the question from this new member is do you type that stuff on with everypost, or is there a counter thing from somewhere that I would need to get to do this?

If you go to the 'user cp' in the upper left corner, click on it and you will see the 'edit signature' choice, click it & type in what you want in your sig line - hope that helps

No they are not typed in for every post. Here is how you make you signature:
Look at the top of the page; see the spot that says "user cp"; click on that then click on "edit signature"
From there you will see the box to type in whatever you want your signature to say.
