Well it's 12 degrees here with snow and we're told to expect major ice during the night and tomorrow night. Gripey has been socked in at Chicago O'Haire all day and finally got on a flight to Dallas not long ago. He won't get into our home airport tonight for sure, who knows about tomorrow.
But at least he'll be safe when he gets on the ground in Dallas.
Next???

Right now it's just cold (24) windy and cloudy here. The snow is supposed to start in light tomorrow afternoon and start getting heavy tomorrow night into Monday.

We are okay here (Lawton, OK). It was sleeting all day yesterday and now we are iced in for the weekend. I believe the whole town is basically shut down. Our power went out a few times but never for long.
I'm glad I decided to do my shopping on Thursday before it hit us.
I hope everyone stays safe.

Glad everyone is safe and warm! Lisa I hope Gripey gets home soon.
Here is upstate NY (I'm about 25 miles from Cornell University in Ithaca) it is 35ºF with just some rain for now. They are saying it is going to change over tonight to a sleet/freezing rain/snow mix.~~ Dee ~~

Just raining here, but we're supposed to get a "wintery mix" tomorrow. I don't think it will be in the form of snow though...looks like freezing rain instead.

It's bitterly cold here. The furnance will not get the house temperature up above 63 (got someone coming to look at it. Thank god for homeowner's warranty). It's snowing here, just flurries though. We're supposed to get lots of snow and ice.

Ice here. We listened to trees break all night long. An errie sound. Nothing hit our house too badly. We have about 1/2 inch ice and more is on the way today, tonight, and tomorrow. They say it will change tomorrow afternoon to snow. Thank goodness for our wood stove! the Electric has gone out a few times , but like others not for long. I called the neighbors who have electric heat and told them to come down here if the power goes out for long.
Stay safe all.

iT'S ICY HERE! We also have more chance of rain/sleet/ice. Our's is supposed to hit here and then move on into the Mid/Odessa area. Sorry y'all. We've stayed in all day. Scott did go to the office to see if any of the tenants were having problems. None so far. Thank God.
Stay warm and safe fellow villagers.

Around the Temple/Waco (TX) area we have had donwpours of rain all day that has caused some flooding. The think we may get ice tomorrow or Monday. What joy!! :-(
Actually, yesterday there was a tornado in my town that removed the roof from a home and did some other minor damage less than a mile from my home. I was coming home from the vet when a friend called to tell me about it. I called DH and the boys who were at home and they didnt' even know anything about it because DS#3 was watching Disney channel. UGH!! I am glad it missed us, but it was sure close.~*Michelle*~
