How did you hear about frugal village? surfing the web for sites on voluntary simplicity

What interests you here? sharing of information, making new friends, learning more on what i can do to live simply

How many kids? Ages? i have a son who is 20 and in college. he just moved back home due to some pretty serious roommate issues, but will be moving out and in with my brother as soon as they can get themselves settled. i have a daughter who just turned 12 and is in 6th grade - her first year of middle school. they are both wonderful kids.

Tell us about yourself. i am in a state of transition right now. re-evaluating my life, my work, my priorities. i'll be switching jobs very soon. i've been off work for 2 mos due to a health issue, but that is resolved now with some out-patient surgery i had done last thursday. it seems i've yearned for something all my life. i've done the professional climb up the ladder, and that was unsatisfying. i've really begun to question over the last few months what makes me happy, and have realized it's just living simply and happily. i have more than enough stuff - i want to find a job that is therapeutic for me, enjoyable, and has a low stress level. what i yearned for i've learned is less - less stuff, less stress, less complexity of life.

Do you own any pets? we have a pug who is 2.5 yrs old.
