    Default My crockpot just died...

I put supper in it this morning and walked by it a little while ago and touched it. It was cold. Thought maybe I hadnt plug it in but I did. So I called dh and told him to stop at the PX and get me a 6-7 qt oval crockpot. Not stainless steel. Not frugal and will go on the c.c as I dont have the cash but I can not live without my crockpot. Luckily I have a round one that I transfered supper to

I love my CP and would be bummed w/o it.

Sorry yours broke, but I'm glad you had another to use in the meantime.

I am so sorry yours broke. I have done the not plugging in, I had to throw everything out cuz it sat out all day. Not worth risking anyone getting sick.

As far as the new CP being frugal or not, IMHO, if you think about the time you save yourself by using the CP and the money you save by not eating out using the CP, it is well worth the investment

I laughed because I had DS start dinner in the cp earlier this week, and he said which one? I have to admit to having 3!!! But during the holidays I have used all three on the same meal!

Wish I knew if the army had you near me. I've got 3 and would happily share one with you.

I also have three - very different sizes and capabilities, so they all get used. The odd thing in my case is that I now live by myself, and STILL use all three ;-)

That happened to me with my old crockpot, only the food sat in it all day, and I had to throw it out.

Ah, the death of a loved one is always difficult to bear. My deepest sympathies to you. Take this time to heal and get close to your new crockpot. I hope that it can fill the crockpot-sized hole that is now in your heart.

So, being as we're frugal, what will you do with the old one?!

So sorry to hear about your dear crockpot. Good thing you had another one and that you noticed it wasn't working in time to save your supper.
