splurged on myself
Well i finally went out and put myself first. we all know as mothers and wifes, everyone else comes first. So child tax credit came in and off i went to the store.
I got my $9 bathroom scale to keep myself in check(i just joinedweight loss moms last week),
_i bought pairs of pjs $7.00 each(mine were old heheheh and stained) lol
_a pkg of undies ( $6.99) , 2 new bras($8.99) each.
And I paid myself first, i put $25 away on a walmart card, ill do every month after this. The card good for 2 years before I have to use it. So if i see anything on sale for me, or cheap xmas gifts, I know i have it.

I think that's great. You're right, we always put others first and it's time we take care of ourselves!! Enjoy the things you bought!

Isn't it a good feeling though, when you know all in the family is taken care of and then you give yourself a little slurge! I too bought some new jeans and T-shoes the other day.

Good for you! You need to give to yourself sometimes. It will keep the incentive there to keep saving, knowing that you will get a reward here and there. Isn't it funny how things change when you are a mom ... new bra's and underwear are a treat for us mom's! ENJOY!

I bought myself some new underwear last week, amazing how something so simple can make you feel so good about yourself. I desperately needed some as my old ones were to big after dropping 35 pounds.

I am glad that you bought some things for yourself. Pampering ourselves every now and then, does wonders for the way you feel, especially when you get new undies and bras. Just those items can make you feel really good. Enjoy!!!!!

I really like the idea of putting $25/month on a gift card for yourself - that's a good idea - I may try that, then save it for Christmas time - hmmm.....Don't Breed or Buy While Shelter Pets Die

I thought the idea of a Walmart card for a splurge "piggy bank" was an interesting idea too. Sort of a Walmart Savings Account. That bears remembering.

we have a bank inside our walmart. One day I had some money my mom gave me to spend on myself so I opened my own account. I put 10 dollars in it everytime I go to walmart.
I glade you got to buy something just for you! feels good

The idea of a WalMart gift card for saving some extra money is great - I only wish you could add to the value online instead of having to do it in the stores. Most (if not all) of my banking is done online, so it would be convenient and quick to just transfer over a set amount every month. However, since I am always in that store at least once a week, I guess I could do it then! Thanks for the idea!
